Summer Jewellery Collection

I'm in love with these bracelets from Primark, the vintage stones and detailed metal work add for a very bohoemian feel, which i'm all for this summer.

I never wear sunglasses so I thought it time I purchase a pair! These ones are from Oliver Bonas and I love the subtle cat eye shape and rose gold coloured edges.

Topshop bracelet that I have had for ages, I like that it contrasts the gentle beads with the harsh grungey chains.

I used to be all about the gold hoop earrings but i've had a real change in preference recently and am loving silver jewellery. Personally I think that it looks more effortless and gives a clean finish to a look.

This bad boy is from Primark. It's silver, chunky and just perfect. I love the coin effect as it gives it a vintage feel.

I saw this and thought FESTIVALS! I am really not the fancy head band type but I tried this on a it looked really cute. I wore this out on a sunny day and I felt like mother nature...and who doesn't want to feel like mother nature? haha

I don't see the point in spending a fortune on jewellery as I WILL end up loosing it. If I was a little more organised I would love to have some fancy jewels but being the scatty mess that I am it's just a recipe for disaster. I get the majority of my jewellery from good ol' Primark and I think that as long as you pick the right pieces theres no way anyone would know!
I love e-bay, in fact there was a phase a couple of years ago where for about a month I had a new package arriving every day or so...it's fair to say when I like something I always go in guns blazing. I got my 90's style black choker on e-bay a while ago and it's one of my staple pieces, it can transform a mundane outfit into something stylish and edgy.

I hope you enjoyed this lil snippet into my jewellery collection and I have a few things lined up and ready to post so will keep y'all updated!

Angelina Jolie Inspired Make-up

(Please ignore the picky hair haha)

Angelina Jolie is an effortless beauty, and only really wears quite simple make-up. To achieve an effect closest to hers I used a pale foundation and a tope colour to contour my face. It's important to pick out a persons key features when trying to copy their look, high cheek bones, arched brows, full lips and her beauty mark are the key features I focused on.

I was inspired to do this post because I watched Michelle Phan's transformation on Youtube and I was blown away! Mine is no where near as good as hers but it was fun to do. Check her video out here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rNQ2oDEyVNw

Simple and yummy vegetarian recipe- good for lunch or dinner!

Seeing as I was at home today I thought I'd take the opportunity to make something yummy to eat for lunch. I made this yummy salad and it didn't take long at all!

Ingredients:

Raw Spinach (As much as you like! )
Cucumber
Onion
Couscous
Coriander
Goats cheese
Cup of water

For the dressing I made:

Pesto
Olive Oil
Balsamic or cider vinegar
Pinch of salt

Cous Cous:

1) First it's time to prep the couscous as this needs to stand in order to cook. Bowl some water (enough to fill one - to one and a half cups)
2) Pour one cups worth of couscous into a bowl
3) Chop up about 1/4 of a red onion, depending on how strong you like it add more or less.
4) Chop up a small handful of coriander
5) Add your chopped veggies to the dry couscous and pour 1-1.5 cups of water on top. Cover with a lid or plate and set aside.

The salad:

6) Chuck as much spinach as ya like into a bowl, I used a couple of handfuls...
7) Chop some cucumber up and add it to the bowl...

The dressing:

8) Add one teaspoon of green pesto into a bowl
9) Add a tablespoon of olive oil and vinegar (add more to get it to your taste)
10) add a pinch of salt and mix until it's a pouring consistency

Adding it all together:

11) if the couscous is soft then its ready! Add your couscous mix on top of your salad..
12) pour your dressing on top
13) crumble some goats cheese on top and add some black pepper.

AND VOILLA! Healthy and yummy!
Add as much veg as you like, tomatoes, celery, carrots...you can't go wrong...I was just making the most out of what I had in the fridge :)

My cat sleeps very humanesque...
